At PC2, we strive to add value every year, motivated by continuous improvement in both the fund’s performance and all the aspects that revolve around it, including the Fund’s governance, innovation and communication with the community. That is why we seek to participate in prestigious international programmes, seeking greater visibility and recognition, to boost participant confidence and help us continue to grow.

World Pension Summit Innovation Award ‘Plan Design’

2019 Finalist

CaixaBank’s aggregate employee Pension Scheme, comprising Pensions Caixa 30 PF and Pensions Caixa 2 PF, won third prize in the Plan Design & Reform category for its strategic initiatives and investment innovation in the area of SRI and climate change impact. It was previously runner-up in 2019.

The specialist publication Pensions & Investments has also recognised our Plan in the WorldPensionSummit Innovation Awards.

These annual innovation awards recognise the achievements of pension plans and other asset holders and institutional investors in communication, investment, technology and plan design. Using the 2020 summit theme as a guide, pension funds and other investment vehicles based on five continents presented the various ways in which they were working towards a “future-proof retirement”.

IPE Awards Category Fixed Income

2019 Finalist

Recognised in the Top 5 best funds in Europe in the Fixed Income Thematic Category in 2019. This category recognises those pension funds in Europe with a sound long-term strategy for this asset class, as well as for the optimal strategic portfolio allocation of fixed income instruments, combining both traditional assets and those with a more innovative profile.

In 2020, PC2 was nominated in several categories, including Spanish Fund, Fixed Income, and Portfolio Construction and Diversification.

IPE Conference & Awards has been rewarding excellence in Europe’s pension industry for 20 years and is the leading event of its kind with the largest annual gathering of pension funds in Europe. Each year, the IPE Awards recognise the achievements of diverse pension funds across Europe and celebrate excellence by creating a broad and meaningful set of benchmarks.

In 2020 they received more than 350 nominations from pension funds across all the categories offered. These institutions represent some 76.8 million pension fund members in 23 different countries across Europe. These entries were evaluated by around 90 judges.
